Farewell & Goodbye!
Dear fellow ampersand lovers,
A great time has been had finding all manner of ampersands to present here – skinny, ostentatious, plain but dependable and leafy ones. There were ampersands that were elegant, graceful and serene but that didn’t leave out the stumpy, awkward, stout or the festively plump. We’ve had dotty, opulent, straightforward ampersands & ampersands that didn’t give an ampere’s and. Of course we’ve also had self-conscious ampersands just trying to keep to themselves.
We had an ampersand that got taken-aback. There were pretty, lovely and delicate ampersands too. And then there was one that suspiciously resembled a certain glazed and loopy baked good – there were more loopy and loopier ones too. There was even one that tried to go 3D.
But sadly I’m here to let you know 300&65 Ampersands has come to an end. I’ve decided one year of daily ampersands was just enough and from here I’ll be moving on to other things. But please keep watching this space, I may update with news about other projects – a new website, typography blog or…(if I can get around to it!) a print edition of 300&65.
Lastly, there was the ampersand that was just perfect.
